Precision Grade Aspheric Lenses:

Curved surfaces (on Asperic Lens) allow single elements to achieve near-diffraction-limited performance even at for precision aspherics large apertures, avoiding the complexity, bulk and reflection losses of multiple-element designs such as microscope objectives. However, until recently it has not been possible to produce precision lenses economically with good figure.

New precision moulding technology, and bulk demand for laser-diode collimators(using precision apsherics), now allows us to offer this range at a very reasonable cost. They are also ideal for laser focusing and beam expanders and for fibre input and output.

Although precision apjeric lenses are designed for specific laser wavelengths, their performance will be practically as good over most of the visible and NIR range.

The glass lenses have a single-layer AR coating on high index flint glass giving over 97% transmittance at the design wavelength AV7 AR coating specifications the plastic grade offer high precision at very low cost. Some apsherics have integral flanges that make them easy to mount.

Usages of Aspheric lenses:

Aspheric lenses are mainly used in illumination and condenser applications such as:

  • Condenser lens for lighting systems.
  • Condenser lens for projectors.
  • Condenser lens for video projectors.
  • Condenser lens for solar systems.
  • Condenser Aspheric lens for collimate or focus a lamp output for a whole range of condenser instruments.
  • Condenser lens for collection of light and condensing onto a detector surface.

Other options:

  • Stock lenses can be edged to smaller sizes at short notice.
  • Grinding of stock lenses to other sizes such as squares.
  • Mounting options.
